Hi, I am Ritika. I am a former Software Engineer with 3 years of work experience building large scale complex web applications. Currently I am pursuing a masters degree at NYU Courant in Computer Science with a course work balanced between Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing and Machine Learning. I am working as a Research Software Engineer with Prof Denis Pelli at NYU studying how to uncover early dyslexia predictors. Over the summers of 2023 I worked as a Research Engineer at Princeton University.

I am looking for internship/co-op positions for my spring semester from January 2024 and full time positions from May 2024.

I also love building frontend applications and the UI and making things pretty and pink . In case you haven't noticed, I love cats too

  • Princeton University RSE
    Developed a secure software solution enabling the categorization of videos through computer vision algos and created a user friendly database with filters of over 100k videos based on activities helping researchers conduct data analysis. Led the implementation of video transcription and diarization using OpenAI Whisper and pyannote, enhancing content accessibility on the platform. (June 2023 - August 2023)

  • Glints, Singapore Software Engineer
    Built a platform for recruiters to search, filter, source candidates from the 5 million+ talents database and manage them in different recruitment pipelines and automate certain steps like scheduling interviews. Worked on candidate recommendation algorithms for different jobs. It Helped recruiters make 2+ matches a month. Led the implementation of migrating our product to a different access control middleware/permissions model and released it without any downtime or data loss for 13k+ users. Investigated and resolved production OOMs and latency issues in NodeJS, Redis, Postgres services through query optimizations.

  • Google Summer of Code Developer
    Worked on the front-end part of the project Open Event of FOSSASIA. The Open Event Project offers event managers a platform to help users organize events including concerts, summits and regular meetups. The components support organizers through all stages from event planning to publishing, marketing and ticket sales. Automated web and mobile apps help attendees to get information easily.
